Hi GC. I got the same error and followed your instructions. I did notice there was an empty line under the last command. I doubt that will help because I entered the commands manually in the terminal and got the same error.

EFI path. In example, when I first log in, the login screen is stuck on the display. Hitting F5 it shows all open apps, and gets rid of the stuck graphics of the login screen.

This happens any time I close an app, having to hit F5 to see the screen. I think I need to do the same. Where have you inserted, in grub, the uefi boot path?

I want to dual boot. I installed chrome os and set it up, shut it down. When I restarted it I had to go through the set up again. How can I fix that? I was able to install this on a USB thumb drive, but it fails to install on an external hard drive. I get an out of space error on partitions 4 and 8 — 12 which makes no sense since the drive is bigger than the thumb drive it install in.

You should be able to just follow the steps again to do a new install with the correct recovery image. Did a clean install of chrome os again. But still there is the same problem. I have successfully installed Rammus recovery version 83 on my HP Probook, it is working fine.
